Hondo Hondo Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp

Hondo Hondo Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp

The Hondo Hondo Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp is in the Kilombero Valley in southern Tanzania. It is next to the Udzungwa Mountains National Park. The camp is called Hondo Hondo, which in Swahili means “hornbill” because there are so many of these beautiful birds living in the area. The lush green land of Hondo Hondo is right on the edge of a pristine jungle and has great views of the forest roof. A number of different species of hornbills fly over the edge of the forest. Every evening at sunset, they gather in large groups in the trees along the edges of the jungle, and their unique calls fill the valley.

At the tented camp, there are cabins and comfortable safari tents each with its own bathroom and private deck. Take a shower outside under the stars and feel one with nature. A wonderful place!
