Dry Season (June to October and December to February): The nice weather and great chances to see wildlife make these months perfect for safaris and trips to the beach. You can expect hotel prices to go up and parks and sites to be busier, though.

Day by day breakdown

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Your Tanzania Zanzibar Safari guide meets you with a big smile as you leave Kilimanjaro International Airport: “Karibu Tanzania! Welcome to Tanzania!” The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can unwind and enjoy the African vibe. The following day, your guide takes you on a private tour where you can go at your own speed. You can stop and watch the animals for as long as you want in the comfort of your own adventure jeep.

Day 2: Discover Mto Wa Mbu in a Tuktuk

There is a green spot in the middle of dry savannah lands near Lake Manyara National Park. That’s the village of Mto wa Mbu. A tuktuk can hold up to three people at most, and a tour by tuktuk gives you the most freedom. You can stop anywhere you want in a tuk tuk, even in small streets. The tour goes by the town, then into the forest, where it goes by a number of farms and plantations. After an hour or two, you’ll stop at a brewery, an artist, and a school.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – luxury style!

With its acacia woods, jungle forests, mountain cliffs, and grassy areas, Lake Manyara National Park is a great spot for a safari with beautiful views. Lions, which are amazing because they can climb trees, live there, along with many other animal species, including baboons, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and more.

Day 4: Gibb’s Farm walk & lunch

From Gibb’s Farm, you can feel like you’re on an old African farm or coffee field, which is right on the Ngorongoro Highlands. You can walk around this peaceful and quiet haven and watch people pick veggies, roast coffee, milk cows, and feed pigs. The herb gardens, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens give the chefs at the farm ideas. The chefs then wow guests with a delicious lunch. A little piece of heaven!

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – luxury style!

You will be going down into the beautiful crater of the famous Ngorongoro Crater today. Today is THE day to go on a game drive early, when there are lots of animals and not many people. The sight of the many animals and the clouds in the sky will make the hairs on your arms stand on end as you drop into the crater. There are coyotes, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeests, gazelles, and many other animals here, and it’s likely that you’ll see them all.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park luxury style – by plane

For the best tour ever, fly into the stunningly beautiful Serengeti National Park. Come see the famous “Big Five” in all their glory. During some months, you can also see thousands of wildebeests running in the Great Migration. Even without that, this is a great place to see big cats. There are groups of lions on kopjes, cheetahs in the long, yellow grass, and leopards in the trees. You get there just in time for a great afternoon game drive that goes into the dusk.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park – luxury style!

When you think of a fancy trip, Serengeti National Park has everything you can think of. Not only the Big Five, the famous Great Migration, and many big cats, but also rare animals like the gerenuk and the wild dog. Oh, and did we forget to add the more than 500 bird species?
