No limit on how far you can drive

We don’t have game drive fuel like most other safari companies do. That’s why we can take you to beautiful, out of the way places that other tour companies won’t go.

What do many tour companies do?

When their guests get to Kilimanjaro International Airport, they are taken to Karatu, which is 200 km away, for the night. After a long trip, guests have to drive for another 4 hours in the dark. If people want to go to Tarangire National Park the next day, they will have to drive 80 km back.

You can drive from the Serengeti to Karatu through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The next day, you can go back to Ngorongoro for a game drive.
It’s not possible for guests to go anywhere they want on game drives because of the rules. Also, if guides go over the distance limit, they have to pay for their own gas.

These kinds of things will probably make you realize that they ruin your trip. But you have to hurry and spend a lot of time on the road outside the parks to see them all. You won’t get the most out of your trip this way.

How is it possible?

All of this is bad because it has to do with competition. Local tour companies need to offer good (cheap) prices to travel agencies in order to stay in business. They can only give such low prices if they bring their guests to their own hotels. People have to drive further to get to these hotels because they are not always on the road. Because of this, the drives are longer, guests have to leave the parks earlier, and the game trips are shorter. A lot of tour companies also put limits on how far you can drive.
